About the event
Ceylan Taci , singer-songwriter, Albanian of origin via Macedonia and then Istanbul, was born in Brussels. Immersed from an early age in the culture of the Balkans, singing, rhythms and dancing are part of her daily life.
In addition to its own Albanian musical sources and its inner drum, Ceylon opens up to African rhythms, jazz, gospel, songs from around the world.
His love of rhythms and groove permeates his compositions. His texts in Albanian, English and Turkish reveal a very personal universe.
In “Back to basics”, Ceylon invites us on an interior journey through the Balkans, its stories of a little girl, of a teenager, of the woman she is today with her mixed culture.
