Saouta

Valhalla is a project by Karim Gharbi (vocals and keyboards) and Clément Nourry (guitar and pedalboard), born from many years of musical collaboration. Together, they explore a space where improvisation, raw sonic material, and songs in the making converge in a process of perpetual renewal.
At the heart of the project are intricate sonic labyrinths. The two musicians deconstruct their shared musical language only to rebuild it in new ways, embracing a process of sonic reinvention in which every performance becomes an opportunity for exploration and transformation.
With Valhalla, Karim Gharbi and Clément Nourry lovingly dismantle the years they have spent creating together to open up new musical possibilities. This tension between destruction and creation shapes a free and evolving universe where improvisation plays a central role.
The project’s sound world may, at times, evoke influences as diverse as Cher, Tuxedomoon, Ligeti, and Don Cherry, without ever being confined to them. These references reflect the breadth of their musical horizons and the singularity of their artistic vision.
